This was 18x 36 rectangle sand bottom pool in Dayton, Ohio. The pool was opened in the spring to find that the pool was completely empty. Considering the age of the vinyl liner and poor condition it is always recommended to replace the pool liner before a situation like this happens. Fortunately, this was a sand bottom swimming pool and we were able to smooth out the sand to replace the liner. However, if your pool has a vermiculite bottom the same job would cost you double because a pool with a vermiculite bottom would need to be completely replaced. We removed the old vinyl liner, smoothed out the sand bottom and placed a new liner from tricity vinyl. The pool liner that the customer selected was a Raleigh Beachstone .20 Mil.
